Our Chapter History

The North Prestonwood Chapter was founded in April 2013.  The chapter formed after Founding President, Kelly Bicksler had a friend that had recently joined another local chapter and told her what a wonderful organization it was.  Kelly was excited about NCL and the Six Year Plan for Ticktockers and was curious to learn more about an organization that nurtured the mother daughter relationship.  Kelly’s daughter, Chandler, had always been a “daddy’s girl” and Kelly was hoping to build a stronger bond with Chandler.  After completing research on NCL and discovering that the other local chapters were at capacity, Kelly contacted the National office. In July of 2012 National connected Kelly with another mom in Frisco that was also interested in forming a new chapter. Shortly after, the wheels were put into motion for a new Expansion Chapter in the Frisco/Prosper area.
National approved the chapter in October of 2012 and chapter boundaries were approved in December.  In March of 2013 an informational meeting was held with 25 ladies.  The North Prestonwood Chapter formed with 194 members in April 2013 with the dedication and hard work of the founding board members and ladies at that meeting.
Ginny Holiday, a former Chapter President of the Richardson Chapter, served as our Expansion Chapter Advisor for our first two years.   She contributed to the success of our chapter and we wouldn’t be where we are without her.
North Prestonwood became a Chartered Chapter at the National Convention in Seattle, Washington in March of 2015.
